Our
Focus

We pay special attention to current trends such as ecological art, technological art, urban art and innovations in traditional art.

We believe that these fields are in a stage of vigorous development and represent the values of contemporary society.

Contemporary Art
& Regional Regeneration

Since the beginning of the 21st century, Japanese contemporary art has paid more attention to the relationship between the artist and the place where the work is made. The viewer has formed a community of mutual existence and the scene of the work has become a space for interaction and exchange. Indeed, the place itself has become an indispensable part of the work. The creation and generation of "fields" are increasingly showing their value.

This relationship between art and social development has become increasingly close and the concept of coexistence with nature and the environment has become a new theme of Japanese contemporary art. Slogans such as "community reconstruction" and "regional regeneration projects" reflect the return of regional characteristics.

Technology, Art
& Tradition

Art in media is gaining importance. The exponential increase in computing has ushered in a multimedia era of experiential and interactive art. Japanese artists have extended this art form to  create new possibilities and their works have opened up new artistic directions with distinct Japanese cultural characteristics.

2.5 Dimensional Culture

Manga, anime and video games form an important part of modern culture - anime culture. In recent years a variety of modern art forms have been developed based on comics, animation, and video games, which has been dubbed "2.5-dimensional culture", that is, two-dimensional cartoon characters appearing within three-dimensional space. This generates new relationships and a sense of reality that gives birth to diverse possibilities for interpretation.

Transformation of traditional arts

The transformation of traditional craftsmanship into modern artwork is not merely refurbishment or imitation. Transformation is through the juxtaposition of traditional craftsmanship with the integration of innovative design and modern aesthetic concepts. The essence of traditional craftsmanship is recharged with a new vitality.
